The nightie top
Pattern: New Look 6725 view A but shorter.
Fabric: Navy cotton from stash & cotton print recycled from a terrible boob tube dress from cheap store, handed down from sister - but I loved the print.
Alterations: None, but I should have made the armholes bigger and lined it.
pyjamas (see here). However, I think the fabrics in this top make it less so.
Japanese Pattern Book Q). One of them asked "Did you make that dress? ("yes") It looks like something you couldn't buy in the store". End of conversation. Was that a compliment? I kinda like wearing stuff you can't buy. I must admit I had a minor attack of low sew-self-esteem, thinking it might look ridiculous. I don't try to be a fashionista, it's too exhausting! I suppose it's more important to feel good in what you wear. How do you feel when people ask, 'did you make that?'
