This is a high yield pattern. It's easy and quick to make and once finished, gets lots of wear. I made mine from black cotton lycra and had already gone through the wash quite a few times before I could even get any photos in it. I love that the waist goes over the bump. As someone who carries all out front, I don't really like wearing floaty maternity wear because it makes me feel huge. But this skirt means I can wear the floaty tops under it! This is the first MN pattern I have bought and I'm thinking it probably won't be the last. I think I'm sorted for maternity wear at the moment so perhaps I'll think about her other patterns some time next year. All you pregnant bloggers that may be reading - get thyself this pattern!

ReplyDeleteActually this pattern is pretty fitting around the derrière. I meant to mention that in this post. I wouldn't wear this skirt to work because it's not conservative enough for me but I'll wear it the other five days of the week. The top is target and came in a bag of maternity clothes from a friend although I'm pretty sure it isn't actually maternity because it doesn't reach the bottom of my bump anymore! Should be good for nursing I reckon.
